Black Women. Manifest!

BWM! is a purposeful and hopefully aggregate push back (through our work and support) on systems that burden Black women faculty and students with sustained and often passive epistemic threats, violence, and even terror in some cases.

Epistemic injustice has implications for poor health outcomes, race-related stress, losing interest in pursuing further higher education, diminished passion in our work, not getting tenure, and even questioning our own worth as scholar/person at times.

The hope of this collaborative is grounded in

'It takes a village' and 'Each one, teach one'.

We value voice, authenticity, affirmation, and communal support.

Conversation after the initial sharing is not posted.
